ALIGNMENT OF CONCEPTS OF MEIOSIS AMONG CURRICULUM, TEXTBOOKS, CLASSROOM TEACHING AND ASSESSMENT IN UPPER SECONDARY SCHOOL IN REPUBLIC OF KOREA

If the concepts used in curriculum, textbooks, classroom teaching, and assessment are not consistent, students may have difficulty understanding of science correctly this lead to formation misconceptions. The purpose study is measure alignment by analyzing semantic networks student with respect contents on meiosis as covered Life Science I. network method using NetMiner 4.0 program was applied. 11 were extracted from curriculum commentary. textbook presented 36 concepts; teaching 54 a total 23 assessment. With relevant concepts, 6 (gamete, chromosome, meiosis, gene, daughter cell division) linked all 4 sources (curriculum, assessment). These mainly explain process meiosis. It concluded that key exhibited curriculums, However, there many only textbooks teaching. greater number can become one causes deficit learning.
